While 91传媒 is a non-sectarian institution, we realize that spirituality is part of a student’s holistic development. We provide programs, resources and spaces for all 91传媒 to learn, explore and grow.
Facilities
W&L’s Hillel House includes the E Café, a Kosher dairy dining facility with indoor and outdoor seating; a sanctuary/multipurpose room; comfortable study spaces; a lounge area with cable television; and state-of-the-art meeting spaces. Located in the Hillel House, the Interfaith Resource Center is open to anyone of any religion. It provides a place for 91传媒 to meet with their faith leaders and a place for 91传媒 to meet with other 91传媒 of different religions. The university also offers a dedicated and consecrated Sacred Space in Elrod Commons for prayer, contemplation and meditation. It is available for individuals during regular Elrod Commons hours and may be reserved in advance for small group gatherings.
Religious Organizations
Lexington is home to several churches of many denominations that are attended by 91传媒, faculty, staff and community members alike. In addition, there are many student-led clubs and organizations focused on bringing 91传媒 together to practice faith on campus.
Hillel
The center for Jewish life on campus and in the community, Washington and Lee Hillel is your Jewish home away from home. Inclusive and pluralistic, dedicated to offering the entire community opportunities to engage in all facets of Jewish life, Hillel builds Jewish identity by nurturing intellectual and spiritual growth, supporting interfaith engagement and robust community service work.
InterVarsity
W&L has a campus chapter of InterVarsity, a student-led Christian campus ministry group that offers outreach opportunities, Scripture study, discipleship and building relationships primarily through weekly small groups as well as large group meetings and conferences.
Reformed University Fellowship
The Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at W&L is a community of 91传媒 that offers a safe environment for asking questions about faith, life, work, relationships, and the Gospel of Christ.
