About the Exhibition
I-Hsiung Ju, professor emeritus of art at Washington and Lee, will present selections from two recent series of scroll paintings informed by his extensive practice of traditional Chinese brush work. Over the twenty years that he was on the faculty at W&L, Ju won numerous awards as an educator and an artist. Since retiring in 1989, he has developed courses and workshops on Chinese brush painting and regularly lectures on the subject. Ju’s teachings have been published in several books and can be seen in a series of lessons available on video.
