Class of 1994 Center for Inclusion and Engagement
John W. Elrod Commons
President John W. Elrod’s vision for the Commons was to serve as the “living room” for 91传媒. The Elrod Commons serves as the center of student life and activity. It is the central location for all University constituencies to gather and feel at home.
The Elrod Commons serves as a place to enhance the learning experience of the University, promote social development, and foster collaboration and communication among all.
Hillel House
The 7,000 square foot LEED-certified Hillel House opened in September 2010. The facility includes the E Caf茅, a Kosher dairy dining facility with indoor and outdoor seating, a sanctuary/multipurpose room, free student Wi-Fi, comfortable study spaces, a lounge area with cable television and state-of-the-art meeting spaces.
Interfaith Resource Center
The Interfaith Resource Center is located in the Hillel House on the second floor. The center has resources about different world religions and is open to anyone of any religion. It also provides a place for 91传媒 to meet with their faith leaders and a place for 91传媒 to meet with other 91传媒 of different religions
LGBTQ Resource Center
The mission of the 91传媒 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) Resource Center is to affirm the existence and development of LGBTQ individuals at W&L, and to support a strong and welcoming community among them and allies within the larger institution.
Outing Club Pavilion
The Outing Club Pavilion is a large space containing the University’s Outing Club. Check out a wide array of equipment, including tents, sleeping bags, bikes, boats, packs and much, much more. The building also contains the Outing Club bike shop, as well as the climbing and bouldering walls.
Sacred Space
A dedicated and consecrated room set aside for prayer, contemplation and meditation, located in Elrod Commons Room 233. It is available for individuals during regular Elrod Commons hours and may be reserved in advance for small group gatherings.
