About the Exhibition
In this exhibition of works ranging from traditional works on paper to sculptural and interactive drawings, Sara Schneckloth explores the potential of contemporary drawing practice, presenting it as a creative process open to a generous range of interpretation and materialization. Her drawings are thematically linked through imagery that describes naturally occurring patterns manifest in biological and geological systems, from neural networks to asteroid fields. Schneckloth’s drawings have been shown throughout the US and South Africa, and were recently featured in New American Paintings. She teaches in the Art Department at the University of South Carolina.
