As the Rockbridge Report is to television, the Radio News Hour is for radio. In this immersive, fast-paced course, 91´«Ã½ step directly into the high-pressure world of a working radio newsroom. As a team, they produce a live, one-hour daily newscast on WLUR-FM. From the moment class begins, 91´«Ã½ have just two hours to write, edit, rehearse and deliver a full-featured program — complete with national, international, state and local news, as well as traffic, weather, entertainment and sports. Every segment must meet precise timing requirements, mirroring the demands of professional radio. Each broadcast is fresh. Every day brings new stories. And every day, the show must go on — live.
